Circular Economy
In light of the evolving industry, SMT recognises that options to increase machine service life and reduce costs are becoming increasingly significant. SMT’s machine rebuild, used parts, and used equipment services are integral to the circular economy the SMT offers to customers. This year, SMT is showcasing a fully rebuilt L350F wheeled loader at its Hillhead stand to exemplify the level of care and support the team provides to extend the life of construction equipment and offer sustainable fleet maintenance solutions.
The work undertaken at SMT GB’s Remarketing Centre in Bruntingthorpe is helping to ensure that materials are kept in the value chain for longer by offering quality used parts and equipment for customers who are interested in minimising their environmental impact and carbon footprint. By investing in used parts, customers do not contribute towards the creation of more Scope 1-3 emissions that are normally released through the parts production and manufacturing process.
